This chapter reflects the development of situation of finance in Beijing, consisting of four parts:

1. Credit income and payment in financial institutions;

2. Transactions in securities market;

3. Insurance business;

4. Basic information on listed companies.

II. Source of Data

1. Figures of credit income and payment are for Banking Management Department of the People’s Bank of China, Beijing branches of policy banks, Beijing branches of state-owned commercial banks, banking departments of joint-stock commercial banks in Beijing, Bank of Beijing, Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, trust investment companies, financial companies, Beijing branches of foreign-funded banks, and village and town banks. Data are from the Banking Management Department of the People’s Bank of China.

2. Data of transactions in securities market are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

3. Data of banks, insurance institutions and personnel are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

4. Data about insurance business are from Beijing Regulatory Bureau of China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

5. Data about basic information of listed companies are from Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau of China Securities Regulatory Commission.
