Brief Introduction

 

I. Main Content

Statistics in this chapter mainly show the basic information of administrative divisions of Beijing, number of corporate and industrial entities, non-public economy, small-, medium- and micro-sized enterprises,main indicators for social and economic development of the city, and monitoring indicators for the 12th Five-Year Plan, etc.

II. Source of Statistics

Statistics on administrative divisions of Beijing are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs. Statistics on municipal corporate and industrial entities are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics. Statistics on private and self-employment economy in the city are from Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Tax and Beijing Municipal Bureau of State Tax. Statistics on non-public economy, small-, medium- and micro-sized enterprises are from National Bureau of Statistics Survey Office in Beijing and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics. Statistics on social and economic indicators and main monitoring indicators for the 12th Five-Year Plan of the city are sorted out by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and National Bureau of Statistics Survey Office in Beijing on the basis of relevant statistics.

III. Adjustment to Historical Statistics According to New Industrial Standards

(I) Changes to the main framework of the Classification and Codes of Sectors in National Economy (GB/T 4754-2002) as compared with the previous version (GB/T 4754-1994):

Sectors added: a). information transmission, computer service and software, b). renting and leasing activities and business services, c). accommodation and restaurants, d). management of water conservancy£¬environment and public facilities, e). education, f). international organizations.

Sectors with name or range changed: a). agriculture, forestry, animal production and hunting, fishing, b). mining and quarrying, c). manufacturing, d). transport, storage and post, e). wholesale and retail trade, f). finance, g). scientific research, technical service, geological prospecting, h). resident service and other service, i). health care, social security, and social welfare, j). culture, sports and recreation, k). public administration and social organizations.

Sectors cancelled: a). geological prospecting, water conservancy management, b). other sectors.

(II)Compared with the previous (GB/T 4754-2002) version, the Industrial Classification for National Economic Activities (GB/T 4754-2011) mainly involves the following framework changes:

Changes to the name of category: (1) The ¡°electric power, gas and water production and supply¡± is renamed ¡°production and distribution of electricity,heating power, gas and water¡±; (2) the ¡°information transmission, computer service and software¡± is renamed ¡°information transmission, software and information technology services¡±; (3) the ¡°scientific research, technical service and geological prospecting¡± is renamed ¡°scientific research and development, technical services¡±; (4) the ¡°resident service and other service¡± is renamed ¡°resident services, repair and other services¡±; (5) the ¡°health, social security and social welfare¡± is renamed ¡°health care and social works¡±; (6) ¡°public administration and social organization¡± is renamed ¡°public administration, social security and social organizations¡±.

Changes to the order of categories: (1) the ¡°wholesale and retail trade¡± is put after the ¡°construction¡±; (2) the ¡°accommodation and restaurants¡± is put after the ¡°transport, storage and post¡±.

Changes to the scope of category: A. Agriculture, Forestry, Animal production and Hunting, Fishing; C. Manufacturing; G. Transport, Storage and Post; I. Information Transmission, Software and Information Technology Services; J. Finance; L. Renting and Leasing Activities and Business Services; M.
