I. Main Content

Statistics in this chapter include figures on fixed assets investment in Beijing and its main grouped figures as well as figures on government-subsidized housing projects.

II. Scope of Statistics

Before and in 1996, the threshold of fixed assets statistics was over RMB 50,000; after 1996, it was increased to RMB 500,000 and above; since 2011, the figure has been set at RMB 5 million and above.

III. Changes in Relevant Statistical Standards

(I) Classification of Sectors. According to relevant provisions of the National Bureau of Statistics, the Standard for Classification of National Economic Sectors (GB/T 4754-2011) came into effect in 2012.

(II) Classification of Three Industries. According to the Regulations on the Classification of the Three Industries (G.T.Z. [2012] No. 108) issued by National Bureau of Statistics, the scope of three industries has been adjusted. The primary industry refers to agriculture, forestry, animal production and hunting, fishing (excluding services for a agriculture, forestry, animal production and hunting, fishing); the secondary industry refers to mining (excluding mining support activities), manufacturing (excluding metal products, machinery and equipment repair), production and distribution of electricity, heating power, gas and water, and construction; the tertiary industry refers to sectors other than the primary and secondary industries. The Regulations on the Classification of the Three Industries (G.T.Z. [2012] No. 108) issued by National Bureau of Statistics came into effect in 2012.

IV. Source of Statistics

Statistics in this chapter are from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics and NBS Survey Office in Beijing.

V. Method of Statistical Survey

Sample survey is used for the statistics on investment of rural households in fixed assets. For other statistics, the complete survey is conducted.
