This chapter reflects the development of the financial industry in Beijing, mainly consisting of four parts:

1. Balance of credit for financial institutions;

2. Transactions in securities market;

3. Insurance business;

4. Basic information of listed companies.

II. Source of Data

1. Figures of balance of credit are gathered from the Banking Management Department of the People’s Bank of China.

2. Data of transactions in securities market are gathered from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

3. Data of banks, insurance institutions and personnel are gathered from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

4. Data of insurance business are gathered from Beijing Bureau of China Insurance Regulatory Commission.

5. Data of basic information of listed companies are gathered from Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau of China Securities Regulatory Commission.
