I. Main Content and Sources of Data for the Part of Education

Educational statistics include those for higher education (postgraduate education, undergraduate and junior college education, undergraduate and junior college education for adults, and other kinds of higher education for diplomas); secondary education (senior high school, junior high school); primary education; preschool education; special education (schools for the blind, deaf and mute, and mentally handicapped children, etc.); work-study schools for delinquent children. Main indicators include the number of schools, student enrollment, , number of new enrollment, number of teachers and staff, and number of full-time teachers, etc.

Date of Technician Training Schools from Beijing Municipal Bureau of  Human Resources and Social Security，the other educational data were provided by Beijing Municipal Commission of Education.

II. Main Content and Sources of Data for the Part of Culture

Cultural statistics include the number, personnel and activities of professional art troupes, public libraries, museums, cultural centers, archives, broadcast, films, television and press, and other cultural organizations.

In Cultural data, figures of art, libraries, and mass culture are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture; data of archives are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Archives; data of museums are from Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage; radio, film and television, newspaper, magazine and book publications data are from Beijing Municipal Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
