Brief Introduction

I. Main Content

Data in this chapter mainly shows the basic condition of development zones in Beijing, business invitation, investment, production and operation of enterprises, financial status, scientific and technological activities, and human resources. This chapter mainly focuses on the situation of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone and Beijing Tianzhu Bonded Zone. Data of Zhongguancun Yizhuang Sub-park is counted in both Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone and Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area.

II. Source of Data

Data of Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone in this chapter are sourced from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics; statistics for other development zones in terms of business innovation, land and investment are gathered and provided by Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology and financial data are provided by Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics; data for Beijing Economic- Technological Development Area are from the Statistics Bureau and Survey Team of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area; data for business invitation and land in Beijing Tianzhu Bonded Zone are provided by the Administrative Committee of the Bonded Zone, while other data are from Beijing Municipal Bureau of Statistics.

III. Notes on Changes in This Chapter

According to the Official Reply of the State Council on Approving the Adjustment of Spatial Scale and Layout of Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Area issued in 2012, the statistic scope of Zhongguancun Area has been enlarged to include Pinggu Sub-park, Mentougou Sub-park, Shunyi Sub-park, Fangshan Sub-park, Miyun Sub-park, Huairou Sub-park and Yanqing Sub-park to supplement Haidian Sub-park, Fengtai Sub-park, Changping Sub-park, Electronic Park, Yizhuang Sub-park, Deshengyuan Sub-park, Yonghe Sub-park, Shijingshan Sub-park, Tongzhou Sub-park and Daxing Ecological Sub-park Pharmaceutical Base. At the same time, Electronic Park is changed into Chaoyang Sub-park, Deshengyuan Sub-park into Xicheng Sub-park and Yonghe Sub-park into Dongcheng Sub-park.
